DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT:
On deals that require a GPS unit, the dealer must put a deposit on the GPS unit prior to
installation. The $225 per unit (tax included) deposit is fully refunded when
the deal is booked or the GPS unit is returned, resulting in $0.00 cost to the dealer.
This policy has been implemented as a result of dealers losing or failing to return GPS units
on non-delivered deals.
The deposit requirement applies to GPS units shipped to the dealer, installed by the DDM,
at an installation depot, by a mobile installation company, or picked up at the Passtime
Canada office in Burnaby or the Rossi Financial office in Calgary.
Only qualified Premium Dealers are exempt from the pre-delivery deposit program.
GPS DEPOSIT OPTIONS:
Dealers have two options for deals requiring GPS units prior to delivery:
Stocking a GPS — Having at least one GPS unit in inventory is the best way to
facilitate a seamless deal transaction. This avoids the need to facilitate the GPS
installation and deposit just prior to delivery and can allow for same-day delivery on
deals requiring GPS. We strongly encourage dealers to stock at least one GPS unit.
Just-In-Time GPS — Dealers have the option to pay the GPS deposit prior to
installation and before deal delivery. Be aware that, based on deal timing, there is
potential for delays that can impact your delivery date (weekends, end of day,
shipping delays, etc.).
GPS INVENTORY OR DEPOSIT PROCESS:
On the Rossi Financial portal, at the bottom of the Deal Log page, there is a link to the
Dealer GPS Store where GPS units can be ordered for inventory or a deposit can be
processed via PayPal or E-transfer.
GPS SHIPMENTS:
GPS units are shipped to dealers using Canada Post Xpresspost service. If faster delivery
is required, the dealer will be responsible for the cost difference ($20.00 credit).
