Proceed with caution, if you must proceed at all. My experience suggests you should not expect anything in the way of support, accountability, or professionalism from Ian Turnbull and Rossi Financial.
I rarely leave reviews, but this experience with Rossi Financial warrants it.
We financed a vehicle through Rossi as part of a dealership purchase. Shortly after, serious safety concerns arose regarding the condition of the vehicle — concerns supported by independent inspections that ultimately led to an unwind of the transaction by AFS automotive, the body who seemingly botched the original inspection documents. The vehicle was repurchased, the loan paid out in full, and the lien discharged.
Despite being made aware of substantive safety issues immediately and that the vehicle had been taken off the road pending resolution, there was little to no meaningful engagement as the situation escalated from Rossi.
Communication from Ian Turnbull, CEO of Rossi Financial, was particularly concerning. In response to detailed correspondence about a serious dispute, his responses were often confused, sarcastic and repetitious indicating a poor grasp of the issue and general attitude. Phrases such as: “your emails are so ridiculously long I am not going to read all the way through it.” He also stated that “95% of this is exactly what you have mentioned in the past over and over again..,” and added, “Like every email you send you use AI and repeat yourself over and over again.” In another message, he wrote, “please, can we emphasize the concise in your reply.”
Those comments speak for themselves.
Rather than engaging with the substance of a complex situation, the approach was dismissive, repetitive, and at times unprofessional, raising concerns about his ability to deal with and comprehend issues of this nature. The collateral underlying the loan, and facilitated by Rossi through an approved dealer, was unsafe, sold under false pretences and materially compromised.
This was compounded by additional issues from Rossi as a whole, including receiving sensitive documentation elating to other clients in error, days long delays at critical points, and difficulty obtaining basic documentation in a timely manner.
For a company operating in this space, the level of professionalism and judgement demonstrated in handling this matter fell materially short of what customers should reasonably expect.
The fact that this situation ultimately resulted in a full unwind also raises broader questions about how transactions of this nature are facilitated and the types of dealer relationships being relied upon. They appear to work with some highly questionable vendors and take zero responsibility or interest in their customers when they are defrauded.
As a result, regulators are now being engaged to review the entire process and practices surrounding this transaction with Rossi.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, however the whole reason I got a car loan was to build credit and Rossi assured me they report to equifax.
Unfortunately it’s been 10 months and not a single payment reported.
But of course the original credit check from Rossi appeared on my inquiry but not a single payments afterwards. I made every payments on. Time and completed the loan and not a single positive affect on my credit.
I’ve called equifax and they told it’s not from their end and when I call Rossi they blame it on equifax.
I’ve given up on any of my payments being reported.

I received no actual help and no response.

I have been dealing with Ian and the team for many years and on numerous occasions they have helped clients and friends with a finance solution for a vehicle.
